Well, losing 12-5 is never a happy occasion. But it's spring training and you are less concerned about the score of the game and more intrigued by what players battling for roster spots do. In this game, we had both the pluses and the negatives. Michael Foltynewicz pitched fairly well for the first time this spring while Kelly Johnson looked like the player who deserves my conditional love. On the flipside, James Russell can't get lefties out, Arodys Vizcaino can't find the strike zone, and neither Jose Veras nor Michael Kohn escaped unscathed. Four pitchers show up under the negative highlights. Probably why the Braves gave up 12 runs.
